SOLO RUNNER INFORMATION

PACKET PICKUP: Packet Pickup will be Saturday April 6th at the Stockyards Brewing Company, 1600 Genessee St #100, Kansas City, MO 64102 or the Garry Gribbles Running Sports location you selected at registration. There is also pick up race morning, Sunday April 7th from 5:30 to 8:30 am, inside the Stockyards Brewing Co. 1600 Genessee KCMO 64102.
PARKING AT THE START: If you need to park your car in KC for the day, park on the street. Just dropping your team member off? There is parking all around Stockyards Brewing Company and on the street. If you have a bus or large vehicle, park on Genesee.
Bib Numbers: The Solo runners will be given 1 bib number to wear at all times.
Timing Chips: The timing chip will be on the back of the bib number and should be worn throughout the race. There is no need to return the chip. Your results will be LIVE as soon as you cross the finish line at Results
SOLO SUPPORT CREW: Solo runner’s may have a support vehicle.
CUT-OFF TIMES: Based upon a 13:38 minutes/mile pace, to finish very near 4 pm with a 6am start. We will be at the finish line until 5pm.
If you drop out of the race, please give your bib number and chip to the closest volunteer/exchange point. This is important so we know you are safe and not missing.
PACERS: Pacers are welcome, should register as a solo runner and will be assigned a bib number. Pacers may run the entire course or parts of it, but should not cross the finish line if they have not completed the entire course. Pacers are required to pay the full registration fee including the $10 gift to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and cannot be added once the cap is reached. Cars may not try to follow or lead a runner. Solos or teams with cars “pacing” them will be disqualified.
EMERGENCY AID: All exchange points will be staffed with a medical professional. Carry a cell phone for emergencies.
EXCHANGE POINT SUPPLIES: Exchange points will have water and Gatorade for all runners. The following food items will be available for solo runners only: pickles, salt tabs, bananas, peanut butter & jelly, candy, cookies and more. Portable toilets will be available at the start, finish, and at all the aid stations.
AWARDS: 1st Male & 1st Female Solo • All runners will receive a finisher medal at the finish line plus the traditional hand made clay medallion just for solos. Award winners receive ceramic mugs, pint glasses and gift cards. Awards will be distributed at the after party at the Lawrence Brewing Co.
SAFETY: IT IS VITALLY IMPORTANT TO PAY ATTENTION AT ALL TIMES. YOU WILL BE RUNNING ALONGSIDE MOVING TRAFFIC, CROSSING RAILROAD TRACKS AND IN AREAS WITH LOW DRIVER VISIBILITY.
EARBUDS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED. IF YOU CHOOSE TO WEAR THEM, YOU ARE DOING SO AT YOUR OWN RISK AND WE ASK THAT YOU ONLY USE ONE BUD.
GETTING BACK TO THE START: Solo runners should come to the Lawrence Brewing Co. even if you are not eating, and let the DJ know you need a ride back to the start. The DJ will make an announcement. We have never had a problem finding rides.
DROP BAGS You should have no trouble running the race without drop bags. There are snacks and sports drink at each aid station. If you wish to have a drop bag at the finish, leave the bag at packet pickup at the race start and it will be taken to the finish line for you. Look for your bag at the finish line festival food tents.
ARE THERE SHOWER FACILITIES: Take your own towel to the Lawrence Community Building, 115 W 11th Street, Lawrence, KS, 9:30am-5pm.
RACE CANCELATION: The race will not be canceled. If you feel the conditions are dangerous, drive your car to Lawrence and enjoy the meal. Watch the weather forecast before the race and pack adequate clothing.
2019 Brew to Brew shirts are included in your registration!
Brew to Brew will start at Stockyard Brewing Company in Kansas City and end at Lawrence Beer Company in Lawrence. To start your day off with carbo loading, Stockyard Brewing will be serving up their brew to participants at the start line. When you get to the finish line, enjoy great beer and music by a live band, refuel with plentiful food options and re-live the awesome run you just had! There will be food trucks a plenty for all your hunger pangs and drinks will be served starting at 12 pm.
