Volunteers can work before the race or on race day. The tasks include packet stuffing, packet pickup, marking the course, working at the start or finish lines or one of 10 aid stations along the course between Kansas City, Bonner Springs and back to Kansas City. Volunteers receive a race shirt, free meal, and a beer.
