In the 1950’s a child with CF would struggle to make it to 2 years of age.

In the in 1960’s a child with CF would be lucky to make it to 10 years of age.

In the 1970’s the life expectance for a child with CF was 16 years old.

In the 1980’s the life expectancy of a child with CF was almost 18 years old.

In the 1990’s the life expectancy of a person with CF climbed to 29 years of age.

In the year 2000 the median life expectancy for a person with CF was 32 years.

In the year 2004 the median life expectancy for a person with CF was 35 years.

Currently the median life expantancy for someone with CF is 37.  With your help and contributions to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation we
